Gregorio Dalbón asserted that Cristina Kirchner will not go to jail and warned: "We are going to pulverize the sentence."

Gregorio Dalbón asserted that Cristina Kirchner will not go to jail and warned: "We are going to pulverize the sentence."

Attorney Gregorio Dalbón asserted this Tuesday thatCristina Kirchner's conviction in the Highways case has "two possible outcomes: nullification or acquittal ." In a television interview, the lawyer took aim at the Supreme Court and announced that they will appeal to international organizations to overturn the ruling that upheld the six-year prison sentence.

"This ruling will be overturned. International human rights organizations will ensure that this ruling is overturned," he said in an interview with journalist Gustavo Sylvestre. He also maintained that the Court's decision is "illegal, arbitrary, and unconstitutional."

Dalbón based his argument on Article 366, Section F, of the Federal Penal Code. This section establishes that if an international organization detects violations of due process or the guarantees of defense, Argentina must comply with its ruling in a binding manner.

The lawyer also took aim directly at businessman Héctor Magnetto, director of Grupo Clarín. "I hope he lives to see what we're going to do with this ruling: we're going to pulverize it," he declared. He added: "It's a legal disgrace."

Meanwhile, Cristina Kirchner will no longer have to appear in Comodoro Py. Judge Jorge Gorini, presiding judge of the Second Federal Oral Court, ruled that she will serve her sentence under house arrest . The decision was notified online and will be carried out at her home in the Constitución neighborhood.

The court established three rules of conduct. First, the former president must remain at home , except in duly justified circumstances due to force majeure. Furthermore, she must request prior authorization if she needs to leave the country under other circumstances.

The second point prohibits behavior that disrupts neighborhood peace. This responds to a request from the Buenos Aires City government, which expressed concern about the possibility of demonstrations in the area.

Finally, within 48 business hours, Cristina Kirchner must submit a list of her close associates: family members, doctors, security guards, and lawyers. Only these individuals will be allowed to enter without judicial authorization.

The Directorate of Control and Assistance in the Execution of Criminal Cases , which will be in charge of overseeing the sentence, must submit a quarterly report on compliance with these conditions. Meanwhile, Gregorio Dalbón reaffirmed that they will appeal to international bodies to have Cristina Kirchner's conviction overturned.
